CFCUSA National Leaders Conference

HOUSE RULES

The Couples for Christ USA (CFC-USA) National Leaders Conference follows "house rules" designed to foster a spirit of worship, respect, and focused fellowship among its leaders:

Spiritual & Conduct Guidelines

Active Worship Participation:
Leaders are expected to participate fully in all worship sessions, including singing, Praying, and Scripture reading.

Spirit of Humility and Charity:
Maintain a humble and teachable heart. Assume good intentions, listen and speak with charity, and remain open to what the Lord may be saying through every session and interaction - even when the message or messenger may not be what we expect or desire.

Spirit of Openness & Confidentiality:
During sharing or breakout sessions, foster an environment of openness. All personal sharing must be kept strictly confidential within the group.

Servant Leadership:
Maintain the "mind and heart of a servant," focusing on how to better care for and bring members closer to Christ.

Respect for Authority:
Honor and follow the guidance of the National leadership overseeing the conference.

Meeting & Discussion Etiquette

Be Succinct:
Avoid dominating the discussion. Ensure everyone has an equal opportunity to share within the allotted time.

Stay on Topic:

Discussions should remain focused on the provided talk or theme. Avoid getting sidetracked by unrelated or serious theological debates.

Punctuality:

Attend all scheduled activities, sessions, and workshops on time to ensure the program flows as planned.

Eliminate Jargon:

Use clear, inclusive language to ensure that all leaders, regardless of how long they have been in the community, feel comfortable participating.

Administrative & Logistics

Registration & Credentials:
Ensure your registration is complete and always wear your CFC ID and Tyvek band for security and identification.

Communication:
Stay in touch with your delegation head or the service team regarding any concerns or emergencies during the event.

Data Privacy:
Be mindful of personal information collection and usage as outlined in CFC-USA's privacy guidelines.

Environment Mindfulness & Stewardship (Laudato Si')

In response to Pope Francis's encyclical Laudato Si', the conference adopts the following guidelines to "care for our common home" and practice integral ecology during our gathering:

Practical Stewardship (Zero Waste Initiatives)

Bring Your Own Reusables:
All leaders are strongly encouraged to bring their own refillable water bottles and coffee tumblers to minimize single-use plastic waste.

Digital-First Materials:
Conference handouts, schedules, and song sheets will be primarily distributed via the official app or QR codes. Please avoid printing unless necessary for accessibility.

"Clean As You Go" Policy:
Maintain the venue's cleanliness as a sign of respect for God's creation. Ensure all trash is segregated into the appropriate recycling, compost, or landfill bins provided
